Cypress Gardens

This weekend we went to Cypress Gardens, near Lakeland in lovely Central Florida.  The admission price was reasonable, but the attractions were certainly shy of some of the more, well-known, Florida theme parks (read: less ears, more mullets).

Here are some pictures from our journey.

Here is Olivia in the morning on the porch off of our room. She was pretty excited by the promise a trip to an adventure park.

Cypress Gardens is known for its, well, gardens.  Here is some sort of greenhouse that probably contains some rare plants.  As we are not a garden people, we did not visit it.  I took a picture of the butterfly though -- notice the Rascal.

This was an interesting ride: The kids were to put out a pretend fire by spraying what appeared to be water on some flashing red lights.

Here are Mom and Daughter, going up the big water ride.  If only I had a better camera, I am sure that this would have turned out to be a better picture.

Here is the Kid on a ride with her friend at the end of the day.

Overall, a good time.
